Iranian state TV abruptly cuts broadcast of parliament speaker's interview
An interview with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was abruptly cut short during a broadcast on state television, according to the Iranian Parliament's media centre.
The parliament's media office said the state-run broadcasting organisation interrupted the interview without providing an explanation, despite the footage having been submitted in advance for transmission, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the media centre, the interview covered several key issues, including Iran's nuclear program and inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the country's frozen assets, the possibility of obtaining reconstruction loans, and remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The reason for the interruption remains unclear.
