Iranian strikes damage multiple US missile defence sites in Middle East PHOTO

04 March 2026 13:33

Satellite imagery suggests that Iranian strikes have hit several US missile-defence radar sites across the Middle East, including a $1.1 billion AN/FPS-132 early-warning radar in Qatar and AN/TPY-2 radars associated with THAAD systems in the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, Clash Report says.

In Qatar, the AN/FPS-132 early-warning radar at Al Udeid Air Base was reportedly damaged by the strikes.

In Saudi Arabia, an AN/TPY-2 radar site was hit, with the hangar housing the radar reported to have burned to the ground.

In Jordan, the AN/TPY-2 radar at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base sustained damage, which is visible in satellite imagery.

In the United Arab Emirates, two AN/TPY-2 radars and THAAD-related infrastructure near a U.S. base were damaged, with nearby buildings also affected.

The report notes that these strikes could weaken US regional missile-defense coverage and increase the risk of Iranian missile breakthroughs, raising concerns about the effectiveness of current US defences in the region.
