Iranian Vice President rejects Western calls to limit uranium enrichment
09 April 2026 13:16
Iranian Vice President and Head of the country's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, has dismissed Western demands to curb the country’s uranium enrichment program, calling such efforts futile.
“The claims and demands of our opponents aimed at limiting Iran’s enrichment program are just dreams that will go to the grave,” Eslami said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Eslami’s comments come as Western nations continue to push for restrictions on Iran’s enrichment levels, citing concerns over nuclear proliferation and regional security. However, Iran has consistently rejected these demands, framing its nuclear program as a sovereign right for peaceful purposes.
