Iraqi PM Ali al-Zaidi begins official visit to Türkiye
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi arrived in Türkiye on an official visit at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Türkiye’s Trade Minister Ömer Bolat welcomed the head of the Iraqi government at Esenboğa Airport.
According to Bolat, talks are scheduled during the visit, which are expected to give fresh momentum to cooperation between the two countries in trade, investment, transport, energy and security.

The minister also said that Türkiye aims to increase bilateral trade with Iraq to $30 billion, while accelerating the implementation of the “Development Road” project and opening new border crossings to strengthen economic ties and regional stability.
