IRGC appoints new spokesperson after predecessor killed photo

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has appointed Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi as its new spokesperson, replacing Ali-Mohammad Naeini, who was killed in an airstrike last month.

According to Iran International, the leadership change follows the death of Naeini, who previously served as the corps’ official representative in media communications.

The appointment was formalised through a decree signed by Abdollah Haji-Sadeghi, who serves as the Supreme Leader’s representative within the IRGC.
