IRGC holds full control over Hormuz Strait — former commander
Mohsen Rezaei, a former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and current secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council, said that commercial operations at key Iranian ports are continuing normally.
According to Fars News Agency, Rezaei stated that customs clearance procedures for goods at ports in Hormozgan Province, including Shahid Rajaee Port, are proceeding without disruption.
“In the field of security, there are also no problems thanks to the efforts and coordination of various agencies; security is fully ensured,” Rezaei said.
He added that the deployment and operational readiness of military personnel in the region are considered appropriate.
Rezaei further stated that control over the Persian Gulf and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz is fully in the hands of the naval forces of the IRGC.
