IRGC: Iran had pre-approved war plan before Khamenei’s death

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, approved a military action plan in the event of an attack by the United States and Israel before his death.

According to the SNN television channel, this was stated by Major General Ali Mohammad Naini, the official spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite branch of Iran’s armed forces.

“The United States failed to take into account that our martyred Imam had defined the doctrine of war, which envisioned the conflict having a regional dimension,” the channel quoted him as saying. “Operational plans had been reviewed before the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution, and all of them were approved.”
