IRGC: Iran ready for "lightning-fast" offensive operations

The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Tehran division Hassan Hassanzadeh said  that Iranian forces are prepared to conduct “lightning-fast offensive operations” anywhere in the country.

“Today, we are ready to deploy rapidly to any part of the country and destroy the enemy under any circumstances,” Hassanzadeh stated.

He said repeated military exercises had strengthened the forces’ rapid-transport and special-operations capabilities, enabling them to respond quickly to potential threats across the country.

Hassanzadeh also addressed statements by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying they had “claimed that they had destroyed our armed forces, but today those forces are standing against them more powerful than ever.”

The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
