IRGC claims attacks on US facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain VIDEO/UPDATED

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out strikes on U.S. military-linked facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, including ammunition depots and a naval observation post.

In a statement, the IRGC said the actions were part of what it described as the “27th phase” of retaliatory operations.

“During the 27th phase [of retaliatory strikes], fighters struck three depots storing ammunition and equipment at a U.S. base located in Al-Udeiri in Kuwait, set these depots on fire and destroyed them. At the same time, a strike was carried out on an observation tower of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet located in Bahrain, as a result of which it sustained significant damage,” the statement said.

The IRGC said the depots targeted were located at a U.S. base in Al-Udeiri, Kuwait, and claimed the facilities were set ablaze and destroyed.

It also said an observation tower associated with the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain was struck and sustained “significant damage.”

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had targeted an Amazon data centre in Bahrain, claiming the facility was used to support US military intelligence operations.

In a statement broadcast by state television, the IRGC said its forces had "targeted and destroyed" the facility, Caliber.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.

The forces “targeted and destroyed the intelligence data centre building of the American company Amazon, which plays a major role in providing intelligence support for the American child-killing army”.

The claim has not been independently verified. Neither Amazon nor Bahraini authorities have commented on the reported attack.

The announcement follows a similar statement issued by the IRGC on July 22, when it also claimed to have targeted the Amazon data centre in Bahrain.

Separately, several media outlets reported that Iran had launched strikes targeting US forces in Iraq's Kurdistan Region.

Facilities associated with the US diplomatic mission in Erbil came under attack, with explosions reported at warehouse buildings belonging to the U.S. Consulate.

Large plumes of smoke were seen rising over Erbil International Airport, which is located near U.S. facilities. Airport operations may be disrupted.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Iranian drones attacked US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.

According to a statement cited by Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, Iranian forces used Arash kamikaze drones to target US military equipment depots and deployment sites at Camp Al-Adiri, the Al-Doha barracks and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

The IRGC also said drones struck fuel tanks, warehouses and hangars containing US military equipment at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as well as other troop deployment sites.

In Jordan, the Al-Azraq base was reportedly targeted, with the airfield, an aircraft maintenance and repair hangar and troop deployment areas hit, according to the statement.

“Any move directed against Iran’s legitimate interests will result in a loss of security and economic benefits for other countries in the region,” the IRGC said, according to IRIB.
