IRGC says tanker ATHE NOVA hit by drones in Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the fuel tanker ATHE NOVA was struck by two drones in the Strait of Hormuz, according to foreign media reports. 

In a statement, the IRGC said the drones had been launched from Iranian territory and that the vessel, described as an ally of the United States, continued to burn after being hit.

No details were provided regarding potential casualties or the extent of the damage.
