IRGC threatens US, regional allies with retaliation over infrastructure strikes
Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning to the United States and its regional allies, threatening devastating military retaliation if airstrikes targeting Iranian civilian infrastructure and populations persist.
The warning, published in an official statement by the IRGC press office on Friday, explicitly targets Middle Eastern nations that host American military installations.
The IRGC warned that facilitating U.S. operations against Iran would carry immediate and severe consequences, stating:
"The US and the states providing them with their bases to host [American forces] in the region must know that crossing red lines and attacking the civilian population and civil infrastructure will entail an extremely severe retribution."
The warning comes amid heightened regional tensions following recent military exchanges in the Middle East. Tehran cautioned that any further escalation would trigger a forceful counter-offensive from the Islamic Republic.
According to the IRGC statement, future military responses would be of unprecedented scale, with Tehran warning of retaliatory strikes "such that will remain in the history of wars forever."
