IRGC warns attack on Kharg Island could reshape global energy situation

Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that an attack on Iran’s Kharg Island could alter the global energy landscape in a post on X.

“You already tested Iran once in the Strait of Hormuz; if reasonable control over the strait created a new benchmark for you in the oil sector, then an attack on Khark will create another terrible and entirely new equation for energy distribution in the world,” Tangsiri wrote.
