IRGC warns Israel of severe consequences following deadly strikes
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the Israeli regime, declaring that it will face a heavy price for its recent military attack on Iran.
In a statement released on June 13, the IRGC’s public relations department paid tribute to Major General Hossein Salami, the IRGC Commander, along with several other senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists who were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the early hours of that day, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
The statement condemned the “criminal Zionist regime” for its act of aggression, carried out with the full knowledge and backing of the “terrorist US regime,” and warned that such miscalculations by Iran’s sworn enemies will not go unanswered.
“The path of the late commander, Major General Salami, will continue to be followed unabated by the IRGC forces,” the statement affirmed.
The IRGC cautioned the Israeli regime to prepare for a “harsh revenge” in response to the attack.
Among the martyrs named were Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri; IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami; Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, Major General Gholam Ali Rashid; and two prominent nuclear scientists, Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi and Fereydoun Abbasi.
In response to the strikes, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei issued a warning to the Zionist regime, stating, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
