IRNA: Iran refuses to take part in second round of talks with US
Iran has refused to participate in the second round of negotiations with the United States, the Iranian news agency IRNA reports.
“Excessive demands from the United States, unrealistic and unreasonable conditions, frequent shifts in positions, ongoing contradictions, and the continuation of what Tehran describes as a 'naval blockade' — seen as a violation of the ceasefire understanding — along with threatening rhetoric, have so far hindered progress in the negotiations,” the publication said.
Iran also described reports circulated by the United States as a media tactic aimed at a “blame game” designed to increase pressure on Tehran.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that American representatives were heading to Islamabad for new negotiations with Iran, adding that the delegation was expected to arrive on the evening of April 19.
