Isaraeli FM congratulates new Turkish counterpart in phone call

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on June 15 evening congratulated newly-appointed Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on taking office.

The head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry posted a publication on his Twitter page about this, according to Caliber.Az.

Fidan thanked Minister Cohen for the Israeli aid delegation to Türkiye after the recent earthquake and the resumption of Israeli Airlines' flights to Türkiye.

The Foreign Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation and opportunities to increase trade.

“Yesterday I spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and congratulated him on taking office. He thanked me for the relief mission after the earthquake. We discussed ways to develop relations between countries and increase mutual trade. Relations between countries are important for regional stability and peace,” the post says.
