Russian drone attack injures four, sets fires in Dnipropetrovsk region VIDEO
A Russian drone attack in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, left four people injured and sparked multiple fires.
Vladyslav Haivanenko, acting head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, wrote on Telegram that two women, aged 71 and 67, were hospitalised with moderate injuries, while two other victims are receiving outpatient treatment, Caliber.Az reports.
The attack damaged a private house, an administrative building, a cultural institution, garages, and five two-story houses.
“The aggressor shelled Nikopolshchyna with Grad MLRS, striking with an FPV drone. Marhanets and Pokrovske communities were hit. The consequences are being clarified. According to the Air Command, defenders shot down eight drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region,” Haivanenko said.
Russia has continued a sustained campaign of aerial attacks across Ukraine since its full‑scale invasion began in 2022, frequently employing large numbers of drones and missiles to strike cities, energy infrastructure, and civilian areas as part of its military strategy.
These drone and missile strikes are part of broader efforts by Russian forces to degrade Ukraine’s operational capabilities and infrastructure, especially targeting energy systems ahead of winter to disrupt power supply and civilian life. Such attacks have caused widespread power outages and damaged critical electrical infrastructure in cities like Odesa and others.
