Turkish president says US-Iran conflict can only be resolved through talks
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that negotiations are the only way to resolve the conflict between Iran and the United States during a phone call with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, the Directorate of Communications has announced.
It noted that Erdoğan said his country supports diplomatic efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The Directorate of Communications made clear that the leaders also discussed Türkiye-Japan bilateral relations, as well as other regional and global issues.
The Turkish leader expressed his condolences for those who lost their lives in the earthquake that struck Kumamoto last month.
Head of State remarked that Türkiye would continue efforts to further develop relations with Japan in all areas, particularly the defence industry, investment and trade.
