Israel "gearing up" for massive strike on Iran Middle East Institute's report
The Moscow Institute of the Middle East has published an article confirming Israel's preparations for airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
The article’s author claims that Israel has carried out several reconnaissance activities to prepare its Air Force for the strike on Iranian targets, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Institute’s website.
Thus, Israel has stepped up the collection of intelligence about Iran, and the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (AMAN) is making great efforts to prepare for a direct conflict with Iran. The army uses various means to collect valuable intelligence about Iran, including a specialized navy unit deployed in remote areas.
According to the author, "Unit 663" operates near hostile coasts with the help of warships and submarines, hires Farsi experts and works with Mossad.
The Israel Defence Forces also monitor Iran's activities from a secret military base designed to supervise Tehran's nuclear and military activities, according to the Institute. This unique project brings together Army intelligence officers and the elite “8,200 Unit”. Research teams of analysts, linguists and other experts work in fortified underground structures and specialize in all aspects of the Iranian threat. The key mission at the base is to expose Iranian methods of nuclear deception and cover-up.
The article also states that Israeli specialists are using artificial intelligence to support and improve intelligence gathering through sophisticated algorithms. And Israeli satellites regularly fly over Iranian territory and provide the Israeli Defence Forces and Mossad with thousands of images.
The Institute notes that along with intelligence activities, Israel is conducting purely military activities in preparation for a clash with Iran.
Thus, a unit is currently being created in the Israeli army to deal with operational plans against the Iranians. And recently, the Israeli Air Force simulated a major strike against Iran. About 100 aircraft took part in the drills. Fighters and tanker planes took off from air bases across the country and headed west over the Mediterranean. In a real strike, the Air Force will fly the same distance, but in an easterly direction. The Israeli Air Force practised long-range flight, aerial refuelling and remote strikes.
