Israeli army confirms Hezbollah leader’s death Amid intensified military operations
The Israeli army has officially confirmed the death of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, following a targeted strike on the group's central headquarters in Beirut.
According to the army's press service, Israeli Air Force aircraft executed the strike based on precise intelligence, targeting a facility located underground beneath an apartment building in the Dahiya neighborhood, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The operation coincided with a meeting of Hezbollah's top leadership, who were allegedly coordinating terrorist activities against Israeli citizens at the time.
In a related development, the Israeli Air Force also conducted an operation in southern Syria on September 28, eliminating Ahmad Mohammad Fahd, the head of the Hamas movement's infrastructure in the region. Fahd was identified as responsible for orchestrating attacks against Israeli forces and civilian areas, including the Golan Heights.
In response to the escalating situation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the mobilization of three battalions of reservists. The army stated that this decision was made following a thorough assessment of the current security landscape, aimed at bolstering the defence of the Central Command and enhancing operational capabilities.
