FM: Israeli attacks on Iran could be impossible without US consent and support
Israeli attacks against Iran could have never happened without the consent and support of the United States, said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
At a meeting with ambassadors, officials, and heads of foreign and international missions in Tehran on the morning of June 15, Araghchi said: “We have strong evidence showing the support of American forces and American bases in the region for the attacks carried out by the Israeli armed forces
He called the most important piece of evidence the statements of the US president, who “openly declared his support in his tweets,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
“He made it clear that these attacks would have been impossible without American equipment, and also announced that further steps are on the agenda. Therefore, in our view, the United States is a partner in these attacks and must acknowledge its responsibility,” Araghchi emphasised.
According to him, over the past two days, Iran has received messages from the United States via various channels claiming that “they (the US) were not and will not be involved in this attack.”
“If the US government is truly making such a statement, it must declare its position openly and publicly. It is not enough to send a private message. The US government must unequivocally condemn the attack on nuclear facilities. Such actions are condemned under international law, and we expect the US government to openly condemn the attack on peaceful nuclear facilities in order to prove its good faith and distance itself from this incident,” the foreign minister stated.
