Israeli envoy rejects possibility of direct talks with Hamas

Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi has rejected the possibility of direct negotiations between Israel and Hamas.

Jerusalem currently has no data on the condition of hostages held by the radical group, he said on air of the TV channel Russia 24.

"There are no direct negotiations between Israel and Hamas and there cannot be, because our position is very simple: all hostages must be released without any conditions," the diplomat said.
