Israeli forces detain dozens in West Bank operations PHOTO / VIDEO
Israeli forces have carried out a series of operations across the West Bank over the past week, detaining more than 70 wanted individuals, according to the Israeli military.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF), together with the Border Police (Israel Border Police) under the Judea and Samaria Division, conducted multiple raids in various areas, the army said.
Among those arrested were individuals alleged to be affiliated with Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, as well as suspects accused of incitement, smuggling undocumented workers, and involvement in stone-throwing and petrol bomb attacks.
According to the statement, troops also seized drones and a range of weapons, including M16 and M4 rifles, pistols, hunting guns, and improvised “Carlo” type firearms, along with ammunition, propaganda materials and military equipment.
In addition, more than 100,000 shekels were confiscated. The military said the funds were intended for use in “terrorist activity” via charitable organisations alleged to transfer money to Hamas.
