Israeli forces kill suspected terrorist attacker during overnight operation near Hebron
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) say a man suspected of carrying out a vehicle-ramming attack in the West Bank was shot and killed during an overnight operation on December 2.
In a joint statement, the agencies said the man had accelerated his vehicle toward Israeli soldiers at the Judea Junction on December 1, injuring a female soldier before fleeing the scene. Security forces then launched what they described as an intelligence-led search for the suspect, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the statement, the man was located overnight in the Hebron area inside the same vehicle reportedly used in the earlier incident. Israeli forces said they attempted to apprehend him, but claimed he tried to flee and posed a danger to the troops. The forces then opened fire and killed him.
