Israeli PM urges regional cooperation, calls for peace across Middle East
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised a recent United Nations decision, calling it a crucial step toward stabilizing the Middle East and advancing regional security.
“Israel welcomes this decision and thanks the United States, as well as the other countries that joined the initiative. We expect that in the near future the bodies of all abducted Israelis will be returned,” Netanyahu said, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
He emphasized that Israel is prepared to take decisive action to address long-standing security threats. “At the same time, we look forward to implementing a key stage—the disarmament of the Gaza Strip and the dismantling of the Hamas regime, which for many years has threatened peace and security in the region,” Netanyahu noted.
Highlighting Israel’s broader vision for peace, he added, “Israel extends a hand of peace not only to its neighbors but to the entire Middle East. We are ready for cooperation, to create a new reality—a reality in which the countries of the region develop and prosper, and where terrorism and aggression have no place.”
Netanyahu concluded by calling on neighboring states to engage in regional collaboration: “Today, we once again call on all our neighbors: normalize relations with Israel, join us in expelling Hamas and its supporters, and lay the foundation for a future based on stability, security, and mutual respect.”
