Istanbul hotel blaze sends several to hospital for smoke inhalation photo
A fire erupted in a 27-story hotel in Istanbul.
Turkish media reports that the incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. in a hotel located on Abdi İpekçi Street in the Karayolları neighborhood of the Sultanbeyli district.
The blaze began when a refrigerator in a first-floor room inexplicably caught fire. Thick smoke quickly filled the room and then spread to the upper floors.

Emergency services responded promptly, with numerous firefighters, medical teams, and police units dispatched to the scene. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze shortly after their arrival.
Because of the heavy smoke, guests—including foreign tourists—were evacuated from the building.

Four individuals suffering from smoke inhalation were hospitalized, while others with milder symptoms received oxygen treatment in ambulances.
