Istanbul unveils monument to Azerbaijan's people's poet VIDEO
A monument to Azerbaijan’s People's Poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade has been inaugurated in Sarıyer Park, Istanbul.
“The event highlights the cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the X page of Azerbaijan's Consulate General in Istanbul.
“This is yet another example of cultural connections between Azerbaijan and Türkiye,” the statement read.

Born on August 16, 1925, in Baku, Bakhtiyar Mahmud oghlu Vahabzade (1925–2009) was a prolific Azerbaijani poet, playwright, translator, educator, and public figure. He earned the title of People's Poet of Azerbaijan and received prestigious awards, including State Prizes from the USSR and Azerbaijan.
