Japanese journalist detained in Iran, transferred to Evin Prison

A senior director at the Tehran bureau of Japanese public broadcaster NHK has been arrested and transferred to Evin Prison, sources familiar with the matter spoke to Iran International.
One source confirmed that the journalist is currently being held in Ward 7 of the notorious Tehran facility.
Earlier on February 24, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported that the detained journalist is Shinnosuke Kawashima.
The exact date of the arrest and the specific charges remain unclear.
NHK did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Iran International.
