JD Vance, Pashinyan sign joint statement on strategic cooperation
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance have signed a joint statement formally concluding their recent negotiation process, Armenian media reports.
The document establishes a legal framework for continued strategic collaboration between Armenia and the United States, particularly in the field of nuclear energy.
“This agreement will open a new chapter in deepening the energy partnership between Armenia and the United States and will contribute to the diversification of Armenia’s energy resources through the introduction of safe and innovative technologies,” said Pashinyan.
The signing ceremony was preceded by a one-on-one meeting between Pashinyan and Vance. U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance arrived in Armenia on an official visit on February 9.
He was accompanied by his wife and children. During the visit, Pashinyan and Vance held a one-on-one meeting, followed by a session in an expanded format.
