Jordan, Kuwait report intercepting aerial targets
Jordan's military has intercepted four missiles launched from Iran after they entered the kingdom's airspace.
According to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it had targeted Prince Hassan Air Base with missiles and drones, claiming the operation ignited several fuel storage sites and ammunition depots, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
In a statement, the IRGC described the strike as the opening phase of its retaliation for US attacks on Iranian military facilities along the country's coast.
The force also alleged that the US strikes followed the interception by Iranian naval units of two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing the ships of "switching off their tracking systems, travelling illegally and endangering navigation."
The Kuwaiti Armed Forces also reported intercepting aerial targets, but provided no further details.
The military urged people to adhere to the safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
