Jordan says 108 Iranian projectiles shot down since start of conflict
Jordan’s air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 108 missiles and drones launched from Iran since the beginning of the current escalation, according to a spokesperson for the country’s armed forces.
Speaking at a press conference, the military representative said that Jordanian air defences detected a total of 119 missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iranian territory that entered the kingdom’s airspace.
“Out of 119 missiles and drones that entered Jordan’s airspace, 108 were intercepted and shot down,” the spokesperson said, according to Jordan News.
The official added that Jordan has deployed engineering teams across the country to address the aftermath of falling debris from intercepted missiles and drones. The teams are working to secure areas where fragments of the projectiles landed.
