Journalist of Armenian origin returns to France after hunger strike
French journalist of Armenian origin Leo Nikolyan has returned to France.
Nikolyan has been on a hunger strike at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport for 41 days, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
“I must come to my senses, improve my health, eat to continue struggling,” he said live on the social network.
Nikolyan said that he lost 19 kg, but this does not bother him, he is looking old but his soul is young.
The journalist also said that he would continue struggling. He intends to go to the French National Assembly on June 4 and talk about the situation in Armenia.
According to Nikolyan’s video message recorded at Zvartnots airport, he was not allowed to enter Armenia.
During passport control, the journalist was told that his entry into Armenia was prohibited. As a sign of a protest, he stayed at the airport and went on a hunger strike.
