Kazakh carriers get faster digital access to regional transport permits
Kazakh transport companies have been provided with a new digital tool to facilitate international freight operations, as permits for entry into Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Kyrgyzstan can now be issued electronically through the elicense.kz portal.
Foreign permit forms are required for transporting goods through the territory of other countries and are issued by Kazakhstan under bilateral exchange agreements. The service is available to companies and individual entrepreneurs whose vehicles are registered in Kazakhstan and authorised for international transport, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The procedure has been simplified. Carriers select the “Transport” section of the portal and enter company details, representative information, vehicle data, the destination country, and the required number of permits. After verification by the Ministry of Transport system, the document is reserved, paid for, and signed online.
The permit is issued within two working days and becomes available in the applicant’s personal account. It remains valid for 30 days and carries a fee of one monthly calculation index (MCI) per form.
