Kazakh fans lead Central Asia in F1 Azerbaijan GP ticket purchases

Kazakh racing enthusiasts have been found to be the leading buyers of Formula 1 tickets for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix among Central Asian countries.

Ticket sales among buyers from Kazakhstan have increased by at least 50% annually since 2022, as Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.

Last year's racing event drew around 13,000 visitors from Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East to the shores of the Caspian Sea. The expansion of grandstands in 2025 allowed organisers to increase seating capacity to over 20,000. 

This year's Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place in the capital city from September 24 to 26. As tradition dictates, the city's street circuit will wind through the historic centre of the Azerbaijani capital and down to one of the Formula 1 calendar's longest and fastest straights, the Neftchilar Avenue.
