Kazakh leader hails US-Iran agreement as key to regional stability
On June 15, 2026, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commented on the agreement reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Caliber.Az reports.
In a post on the social media platform X, Tokayev welcomed the agreements, emphasising their broader significance.
"Kazakhstan welcomes the agreement, reached between the US and Iran. In the current complex international environment, the achievement of this agreement has particular significance for the region and for the entire international community.
We highly commend the political will of the parties that allowed to restore trust and mutually acceptable solutions.
We particularly appreciate the leadership of the President of the US Donald Trump, who demonstrated resolve and strategic vision at this pivotal moment.
We also welcome the constructive approach taken by the leadership of Iran.
Kazakhstan expresses its hope that the signing of the peace deal will lay a solid foundation for strengthening peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond," he wrote.
