Kazakh military drone makes emergency landing during training flight
A military drone belonging to Kazakhstan’s Air Defence Forces made an emergency landing in the southern Zhambyl Region during a scheduled training exercise, the Ministry of Defence said on June 2.
According to an official statement, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) came down in the Talas district while conducting a routine training flight, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
The ministry said there were no casualties or damage resulting from the incident and stressed that the emergency landing posed no threat to local residents or infrastructure.
“According to preliminary data, the incident may have been caused by technical malfunctions,” the ministry said.
A special commission has been dispatched to the site to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities are currently examining the area and working to determine the exact cause of the emergency landing.
