Kazakh police detains Indian student for attempting to rape girl with disability
In Kazakhstan, Almaty police detained a student from India for possible harassment of a 17-year-old girl with a disability.
The victim's mother's statement has been registered with the Almalinsky District Police Department, and the man has been detained while an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
According to the mother’s statement, it all happened in the city centre while her daughter was returning from an exam.
The woman wrote that her daughter had never harmed anyone, so she questioned why they were being treated this way. She added that now the embassy and the police were pressuring her, demanding that she sell the honour of her seriously ill daughter for their filthy gain and thereby ruin the case.
She sought help from social media users, asking them to find a good lawyer and claiming that there are other victims as well.
