Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has praised Chinese President Xi Jinping's concept of a "community with a shared future for mankind," saying the idea is particularly relevant in the era of rapid advances in artificial intelligence.
Taking part in the opening ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, he highlighted China's achievements in the field of artificial intelligence, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The conference was held under the theme Global Solidarity in the AI Era.
He noted that more than half of the world's AI researchers are from China and that Chinese companies rank among the global leaders in the number of patents registered in the sector.
The Kazakh president also endorsed the conference's concept of "AI for Good, AI for All," stressing that technological progress should serve the common good.
According to Tokayev, international cooperation based on mutual trust and shared interests plays a key role in the development of artificial intelligence.
