Kazakh president receives Qatar's highest state symbol - Sword of Sheikh Jasim Bin Thani
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held talks with Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Qatar.
Tokayev was presented with the sword of the founder of Qatar Sheikh Jasim bin Mohammed bin Thani, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
This sword is the highest state symbol of Qatar. The Emir of Qatar personally presents it to monarchs, princes, as well as leaders of foreign countries for services to the country. The sword's scabbard is made of yellow gold and is decorated on both sides. The blade is made of precious stainless steel, the hilt is made of camel bone. The sword is also inlaid with agate and tourmaline.
Following the talks, the President of Kazakhstan and the Emir of Qatar signed several documents, including an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases and extradition of criminals, as well as agreements on the implementation of projects in the field of energy and gas.
In addition, Kazakhstan's national company QazaqGaz and Qatar's UCC Holding agreed to jointly build gas processing plants at the Kashagan field in Kazakhstan.
