Kazakh president to address the nation: details announced
On 8 September at 11:00 Astana time, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will deliver his annual address to the nation during a speech in parliament.
On 29 August, speaking at an event marking the 30th anniversary of the Constitution, Tokayev briefly outlined the theme of his upcoming address.
“As you know, on 8 September I will deliver my Address to the Nation, in which I will define the key objectives and tasks of the country’s economic and social policy,” Tokayev said.
In his 2024 address, Tokayev announced the date of the nationwide referendum on the construction of Kazakhstan’s first nuclear power plant, which took place on 6 October. He also stated that Kazakhstan is set to complete the project of laying a fibre-optic communication line across the Caspian Sea in 2025.
