Kazakh, Tajik presidents focus on trade, water, energy cooperation
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Astana to participate in the regional ecological summit and a meeting of the Council of Heads of State–founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
The two leaders discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh–Tajik relations and agreed to raise the level of strategic partnership between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as strengthening collaboration in the water and energy sectors.
The sides also emphasized the importance of the full and effective implementation of all previously reached high-level agreements.
