Kazakhstan appoints deputy prime minister

Kazakhstan has appointed Aida Balayeva as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information, following a presidential decree.

Lawmakers approved her candidacy in line with Article 22-1 of the Constitutional Law governing parliamentary procedures for confirming government officials, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media. 

Balayeva, born in 1974 in Almaty region, is a graduate of Abai Almaty State University and the Kazakh National Agrarian University. She has served as Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information since September 2, 2023.
