Kazakhstan bans dating service “Daivinchik” after declaring it illegal
13 August 2026 18:43
Kazakhstan has banned the dating service “Daivinchik” on Telegram after the Alatau District Court of Almaty declared it illegal, Tengrinews reports.
The report said the relevant decision was issued following a request by the district prosecutor.
According to the capital’s prosecutor’s office, the Alatau district’s supervisory authority referred a criminal case to court last autumn involving illegal actions against a minor who met a person through the dating service and was subsequently subjected to unlawful acts by that person.
Authorities also said the “Daivinchik Dating” Telegram channel operated without age restrictions, thereby posing a threat to the safety of children and teenagers.
