Kazakhstan, China discuss expansion of trade, infrastructure ties in Beijing PHOTO

Kazakhstan and China have discussed ways to deepen economic cooperation during talks in Beijing, the Kazakh government has said.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov met Chinese Premier Li Qiang and also spoke at a session of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The two sides reviewed progress on agreements reached at the highest level and explored opportunities to expand collaboration in trade, investment, agriculture, and transport and logistics.

They also highlighted Kazakhstan’s role as an important transit route linking China with Europe.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
