Kazakhstan clarifies military movements in Atyrau as regular combat drills
Footage of military equipment spotted in the Zhylouy District of Kazakhstan’s Atyrau Region has been circulating on social media.
The situation was clarified by the Ministry of Defence, according to Kazakh media.
The ministry’s press service stated that the movement of air defence units, including by rail, is being carried out according to schedule as part of routine combat training exercises.
“Currently, efforts are underway to improve the mobility, coordination, and readiness of units to carry out their assigned tasks, including the protection of critical facilities and areas. Such exercises are a regular practice of the Armed Forces and are conducted according to approved plans,” the Ministry explained.
The Ministry of Defence urged media representatives and social media users not to spread unverified information and to rely only on official sources.
