Kazakhstan confirms oil exports unaffected following Novorossiysk drone attack
06 April 2026 15:54
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy is closely monitoring developments at the port of Novorossiysk after a drone strike by Ukrainian forces, which left debris on the premises of two local enterprises.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media, the ministry’s press service stated that the incident “did not affect the volume of Kazakhstan’s oil exports. Reception and transportation are proceeding as normal. Export plans are on schedule.”
Novorossiysk hosts the office of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), and nearby is the CPC terminal, a key facility used for shipping Kazakh oil. Despite the recent attack, operations at the terminal and oil transport continue uninterrupted, ensuring that export commitments remain on track.
