Kazakhstan: CPC pipeline system operating smoothly and remains stable
22 April 2026 09:31
Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov has said that oil supplies via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) are currently operating normally and remain stable.
“Everything is stable on the CPC. Everything is going normally, everything is fine,” he told reporters when asked about Kazakh oil exports through the pipeline, according to Russian media.
He also noted that Kazakhstan has received unofficial information suggesting that oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline may not be possible in May.
Akkenzhenov added that Kazakhstan does not plan to reduce oil production due to potential disruptions in Druzhba transit, and production volumes will instead be redistributed.
