Kazakhstan dismantles group selling personal data VIDEO

Authorities in Kazakhstan have dismantled a criminal group accused of selling personal data to debt collectors and private individuals.
The suspects were detained in the cities of Astana and Almaty, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
“During searches, computer equipment, electronic data storage devices, a large sum of money, and other material evidence were seized,” the National Security Committee (KNB) said in a statement.
The investigation is being conducted under three criminal articles, which provide for penalties of up to three years of imprisonment.
