03 July 2026 13:01
The foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Iran, Yermek Kosherbayev and Seyed Abbas Araghchi, held talks on bilateral relations, prospects for expanding cooperation, and regional and international developments, according to the Iranian foreign minister’s press office.
The discussions took place during Kosherbayev’s visit to Iran, where he attended the funeral ceremony for Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the office said.
Both sides reviewed areas of mutual interest and opportunities to deepen engagement between Astana and Tehran, alongside broader geopolitical developments affecting the region.
