Kazakhstan reports second discovery of drone-like fragments in a week
Police in Kazakhstan have launched an investigation into the discovery of objects resembling fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Atyrau region in the country’s west, the regional police department told TASS.
“The Atyrau Region Police Department, together with authorised services, is carrying out inspection measures regarding the discovery of objects resembling fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The object was found outside a populated area. All circumstances of the incident are being established,” the statement said.
The development follows a similar incident on March 26, when objects resembling drone fragments were found in the Akzhaiyk district of the neighbouring West Kazakhstan Region. At the time, regional police also reported that an investigation had been launched.
