Kazakhstan pushes plan for unified higher education space for Turkic states PHOTO
Officials from Turkic states gathered in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, to advance plans for a unified higher education space across the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).
Ministers discussed the initiative during the 9th meeting of OTS education ministers, chaired by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The talks focused on expanding cooperation in higher education and aligning education policies among member states.
Delegates reviewed progress under the “Turkic World Vision 2040” programme and the OTS Strategy for 2022–2026. They also assessed the implementation of earlier decisions taken at previous summits and ministerial meetings.
At the end of the session, participants signed a communiqué and approved a series of strategic documents and new initiatives aimed at deepening educational cooperation across the bloc.
